1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your registration and use of the National Flatpack Assembly platform as a fitter. By creating a fitter account you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not register.
2. Our Role
National Flatpack Assembly operates an online platform that connects customers with independent flatpack assembly professionals. We are not your employer. You operate as a self-employed individual and are solely responsible for the work you carry out, your tax obligations, and your compliance with all applicable laws.
3. Eligibility & Account Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to register.
- You must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- We strongly recommend holding valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI). While not a strict requirement, fitters with PLI are preferred and may be prioritised in our platform.
- You must supply a valid DBS certificate. We reserve the right to decline or remove any fitter who does not meet our verification standards.
- All information you provide during registration and on your profile must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date.
4. Account Verification
Your account will not be fully activated until we have reviewed and approved your submitted documents, including your DBS certificate and any other documents we may request. Supplying a PLI certificate, while not mandatory, will strengthen your application. We reserve the right to refuse or revoke approval at our sole discretion.
5. Credits & Leads
To view customer contact details and respond to job leads, you must purchase credits. Credits are non-refundable once used to unlock a lead, regardless of whether the job proceeds. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
We do not guarantee a minimum number of leads, nor that any lead will result in a completed job. Lead availability depends on customer demand in your area.
6. Payments
All payments for assembly work are agreed and made directly between you and the customer. National Flatpack Assembly does not take, process, or hold any money on your behalf in relation to jobs. You are responsible for agreeing your price with the customer and for collecting payment.
You are responsible for all tax, National Insurance, and any other statutory obligations arising from payments you receive.
7. Your Obligations
- Carry out all work to a professional standard and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with customers before, during, and after the job.
- Confirm the agreed price and scope of work with the customer before starting. Any changes must be agreed in advance.
- Attend jobs at the agreed time or provide reasonable notice if you need to reschedule.
- Treat customers, their property, and their home with care and respect at all times.
- We strongly recommend maintaining valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) while active on the platform for your own protection and the confidence of customers.
8. Prohibited Conduct
- You must not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or insurance status.
- You must not solicit customers to take work off-platform to avoid our credit system.
- You must not engage in any abusive, threatening, or fraudulent behaviour towards customers or National Flatpack Assembly.
9. Reviews & Ratings
Customers may leave reviews after a job is completed. We reserve the right to display these reviews on your profile. We will remove reviews that we reasonably believe to be false or abusive, but we are not obliged to do so.
10. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove your fitter account at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, received serious customer complaints, allowed required documents to lapse, or are otherwise acting in a way that is harmful to our customers or platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
We take care to provide a reliable platform, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of income, leads, or business opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of your fitter account after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Contact Us
