1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the National Flatpack Assembly website and the services we provide for customers and fitters. By creating an account or posting a job, you agree to these terms.
2. Our Role
We operate an online platform that connects customers with independent flatpack assembly professionals ("fitters"). Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not employ fitters and are not a party to the contract between you and a fitter.
3. Customer Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You agree that all information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.
4. Posting Jobs
- You must provide clear, accurate information about the items to be assembled, access, and any relevant risks or restrictions.
- You must ensure you have the right to request work at the property where the job takes place.
- You agree not to post any jobs that are unlawful, abusive, or inappropriate.
5. Payments and Cancellations
We do not take or process any payments on behalf of customers or fitters. Any payment for assembly services is agreed directly between you and your fitter, and is paid using the method you and your fitter choose.
Because we are not a party to the payment arrangements between you and your fitter, we do not hold any money for you, and we are not responsible for collecting, refunding, or enforcing any payments, cancellations, or compensation between you and your fitter.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Provide a safe working environment for fitters, including clear access and adequate lighting.
- Ensure all products, fixings, and parts are present and in good condition before the fitter starts work.
- Follow any pre-appointment instructions we or your fitter provide.
7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to interfere with its security, or use it for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
8. Limitation of Liability
We take care to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that the platform will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of your use of the platform.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or our services. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the website.
